We are halfway through March and that means one thing, Spring cleaning is upon us. Most people hate it, but I kinda look forward to it. Mainly because it gives me a reason to get rid of stuff and just declutter, I know that may sound bad but allow me to explain. Throughout the summer, fall and winter, there are many holidays and days out of school and days when the whole family is together and days where we have big gatherings and cook outs etc. Sometimes things don’t really have a place and finding the perfect place for it might be difficult. This is the time of year to decide what you really want to keep and get rid of unnecessary stuff that you dont need and then organize closets, attics, basements and in my case the garage ( it looks like a storage bin).
I am normally the type of person that just does things myself rather then asking someone else to do it because I honestly feel like I can get it done quicker on my own then the time it would take me to explain what I want done. So the deep cleaning process comes up and I am learning to give up some of my control tendencies and let my husband and kids help me. Which is hard because for example, if they are sweeping, I want them to sweep the way I would. I want towels folded a certain way, I think you get where I’m headed with this. It’s a control issue, I know and I am working on it.
But I have found out something really amazing to help with cleaning. My cabinets above my stove get sticky sometimes and I always have a hard time getting them clean one thing I have found that works is mineral oil or vegetable oil just dab a little on a clean rag and rub in completely and the stickiness will disappear and the wood finish is still there. No more chemicals that don’t work, this is all natural and it does the job in an amazing way.
I will be giving more tips throughout the month just to kinda help you, when you decide to get started .
